The Ginger buttons are missing in Word or Outlook
- Make sure the Ginger app is running (G in the system tray).
- If you use Outlook, check that it's the classic Outlook. The new Outlook doesn't show the Ginger buttons; use Ctrl+C+C there or the floating G icon.
- Check that the add-in is turned on: in Word or classic Outlook, go to File > Options > Add-ins. At the bottom, next to Manage, choose COM Add-ins and click Go. Tick Ginger Writer and click OK.
- If Ginger appears under Disabled Items (choose it in the Manage list and click Go), select it, click Enable, and restart Word or Outlook.
- If the buttons are still missing, reinstall Ginger.
Ctrl+C+C does nothing
- Make sure the Ginger app is running.
- Check in Settings that the shortcut is turned on and that you're using the current shortcut.
- Another program may use the same shortcut. Change Ginger's shortcut in Settings.
The Ginger window is blank or doesn't load
- Close Ginger from the system tray and open it again.
- If it's still blank, install or repair the Microsoft Edge WebView2 Runtime from Microsoft's website.
- Restart your computer.
Replace doesn't change my text
Make sure the app you were writing in is still open and that the text can be edited. For text you can't edit, such as a received email, use the copy icon and paste the result yourself.
