If no G appears when you select text, try these steps in order:
-
Check that Ginger is running. Look for the G icon in the system tray, at the bottom right of your screen (click ^ to see hidden icons). If it isn't there, open Ginger from the Start menu.
-
Check that the G is turned on. In Settings, under Ways to open Ginger app, make sure Ginger icon appears when I select text is on.
-
Select with the mouse. The G appears for text selected by dragging with the mouse, not for keyboard selection. Release the mouse button and wait a moment.
-
Use Ctrl+C+C. The G isn't available in every app yet. If it doesn't appear in a particular app, select the text and press Ctrl+C+C; it opens the same popup.
-
Restart Ginger. Right-click the G in the system tray and choose Exit, then open Ginger again from the Start menu.
- Restart your computer and try again.
