Which apps does the Ginger desktop app work in?
The Ctrl+C+C shortcut works in almost any Windows app where you can select and copy text. The floating G appears in any app, such as Teams and Outlook. In Word and earlier versions of Outlook, our add-in helps you correct your text quickly within these apps. In apps where the floating G does not yet appear, press Ctrl+C+C.
Do I need Microsoft Office?
No. The desktop app works with any app. If you use Word or Outlook, see the Ginger for Microsoft Office articles for the Office add-in.
Does Ctrl+C+C overwrite what I copied?
Yes. Ctrl+C+C copies your selection, like Ctrl+C, so it replaces whatever was on your clipboard.
Can I use the desktop app and the browser extension together?
Yes. See Using the desktop app with the Ginger browser extension.
Which languages does Ginger correct?
Ginger corrects English and lets you choose UK or US English. Translate supports more than 40 languages.
How do I update Ginger?

Is my text stored?

How do I uninstall Ginger?
