Tips for quick, productive use

  • Check as you go. Select one sentence or paragraph at a time. The popup is fastest on short texts.
     
  • Long texts go to the app. For a long email or document, use Edit in App or paste it into the Ginger window (up to 6,000 characters for Correct).
     
  • Make Cmd+C+C a habit. Select, Cmd+C+C, Replace. It works the same in every app, without reaching for the mouse.
     
  • Rephrase before you send. For important emails, try Rephrase on your key sentence to find a clearer or more polite version.
     
  • Listen to catch mistakes. Hearing your text read aloud is a quick way to spot missing words and awkward phrasing.
     
  • Translate replies. Write in your own language, then use Translate and Replace to send it in another.
     
  • Keep Ginger running. Leave "Launch Ginger on system startup" on, so the G is ready whenever you write.
