Ginger seamlessly integrates with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Outlook and PowerPoint) to provide real-time grammar and spelling checks, along with other helpful writing enhancements. Please note that this integration is currently only available for Windows users.
Step 1: Download and Install Ginger
- Click here to download the Ginger Desktop app for Windows.
- Run the installer and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation process.
Step 2: Activate Ginger within Microsoft Office
- Open any Microsoft Office application (Word, Outlook, or PowerPoint).
- You should see a new "Ginger" tab appear in the ribbon at the top of the window. If you don't see it, try restarting the application.
Step 3: Start Using Ginger
- Check Full Documet/Email: Analyzes the whole document (or email) and corrects grammar and spelling mistakes in your text. Review each sentence individually for Ginger's suggestions, or correct all errors at once with a single click.
- Check Selection: Analyzes a specific highlighted portion for errors.
- Rephrase Sentence: Offers AI-powered suggestions to reword sentences for better clarity or style.
- Listen: Reads aloud the selected text or the entire document.
- Dialect Selection: Customize your language preferences by choosing between UK Only, US Only, or UK/US (both UK and US English)
Troubleshooting
- If you're having trouble getting Ginger to work in Microsoft Office, make sure you have the latest version of Ginger installed.
